As many as 1,000 e-vehicles were registered in Pimpri Chinchwad in 2020. There has been an increase of more than 90% in the registration of e-vehicles in 2020 when compared to 2019 whereas Pune has seen an increase by 45%. This we are right now talking only about our hub city.
According to the Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV), the registration of high-speed electric two-wheelers (E-2W) stood at 2,544 units in September 2020, a 72% year-on-year increase compared to 1,473 units sold in the same month last year.
